The Provincial Commission is the home for High Performance Rowing in KwaZulu Natal,  enabling athletes to attain their highest potential. It facilitates communication between the International Commission on RowSA and High Performance athletes within the province. The Provincial Commission has the following responsibilities:

1. Communication – Between IC and athletes and athletes and IC
2. Provincial Trials – run to select athletes for attendance at national selection as well as athletes to represent KZN
3. Provincial Training Camps – Determine dates and venues
4. Prime – Facilitate access for athletes to the High Performance Centre in Durban
5. Selection – The selection of provincial crews
